How often can and must you recharge a BMW Plug-In Hybrid with eDrive Technology?

If possible, you should charge your BMW Plug-In Hybrid with eDrive Technology whenever the opportunity arises – be it at home or on the move. This means that you can always take advantage of the maximum possible electric range and thus minimise fuel consumption.

HOME CHARGING.

Home Charging.
  • The vehicle can be easily charged by connecting it to a power socket via the supplied standard charging cable, and will be ready to roll with a full battery after approximately five hours.
  • The car's charging port is located behind a flap on the front of the left side panel. A LED light ring on the charging port makes the charging status visible.

BMW i WALLBOX PLUS.

BMW i WallBox Plus.
  • The separately available BMW i Wallbox Plus makes charging even quicker and more convenient. The wall-mounted charging station for home use reduces the charging time and increases charging capacity.
  • The BMW i Wallbox Plus is an ideal design accessory for BMW vehicles, where the installation service reacts flexibly to individual requirements.
  • The BMW i Wallbox Plus also supports intelligent integration into the home network and smart-home functions, along with energy management systems.
Public Charging

PUBLIC CHARGING.

  • ChargeNow service is offered through BMW Group Malaysia’s partnership with ChargeEV by Malaysian Green Technology Corporation (GreenTechMalaysia).
  • The service comprises of a ChargeNow card that grants straightforward access to ChargeEV charging stations across Malaysia.
  • The ChargEV stations are already operational in strategic locations throughout Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Kedah, Melaka, and Johor.
